Environmental Commitment
To bequeath a healthy environment upon the next generation is one of the goals of all humanity. It is a duty which responsible companies take seriously. We are one such company. We contribute to environmental protection by rigorously monitoring and evaluating our energy consumption so that it can be minimised to the greatest extent. We take steps to minimise the volume of waste arising from our manufacturing activities too ensuring that it is disposed of responsibly and recycled wherever possible. Often the things we make have direct applications in terms of energy usage and conservation. For example, we make electrical parts for domestic appliances, car components and environmental devices which render them more efficient.
Environmental Policy
- Our environmental policy is a central aspect of all our activities and it is reviewed and refined regularly so as to reduce energy consumption and the volume of waste material. We look for environmentally sound ways of waste disposal or its recycling.
- We closely observe and strictly adhere to all statutes, regulations and laws regarding environmental protection.
- We plan our cutting and pressing to minimise waste and maximise its potential for re-use or recycling.
- Our aim to reduce energy consumption does indeed have direct benefit to Kato Mfg in terms of reduced costs but we are mindful of the need to reduce global CO2 too. We are well aware of our responsibilities in this respect.
- When we design and produce a product we do so in consideration of the environment and energy efficiency.
- We actively participate in the dialogue involved in raising awareness of environmental issues and promoting environmental responsibility in and among our local community.
- Our workforce is aware of the premium which we place upon the healthy upkeep of the environment and fully embrace it. Staff, including senior management, often volunteer their time and services to community projects such as the cleaning and upkeep of public facilities. Whatismore, agencies and individuals interested in our energy and pollution controls are freely welcomed onto our premises to examine what we do.
